Welcome to Pediatric Dental Associates
Meet the Pediatric Dentist in our Consult Room...
Parents bring their children for pediatric dental care throughout childhood. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends an initial visit to the pediatric dentist when the first tooth comes in. This usually occurs around twelve (12) months of age. Examination and preventive dental care are essential to the protection of your child's smile.
Prevention is the most important reason to visit your pediatric dentist. Your child will grow normally with healthy teeth. Start a lifetime of good habits.
Early treatment is important to prevent future bite problems, help to improve a child's appearance with proper jaw alignment, and maintain a stable, long-term result.
Parents should be aware of these warning signs:
- overlapping or crowded teeth,
- difficulty chewing, open mouth breathing, speech, problems, tongue thrusting,
- thumb or finger sucking after the age of 4,
- jaw joint problems.
