Why are Baby Teeth Important?

Baby teeth usually begin to erupt at the age of six months. Some of these teeth will remain in your child's mouth until the age of twelve. Therefore, it is extremely important to take good care of them as early as possible.

Healthy teeth are important for your child's overall health because:

Baby teeth save space for permanent teeth and allow them to grow in straight. Unhealthy teeth can cause pain and sleepless nights for both the parent and child. A dental infection in a child can become severe enough for hospitalization and in some cases, if untreated, can be life threatening.
